Position Overview:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager to enhance sales performance, deliver an outstanding shopping experience, and ensure the store operates in line with the company's visual and operational standards. This position also involves taking charge of store operations as the Manager-on-Duty when the General Manager is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

Assumes the managerial role in overseeing staff during the absence of the General Manager.

Aims for excellence in sales and results.

Ensures compliance with selling standards.

Engages with customers, demonstrating exceptional customer service and clienteling skills.

Maximizes sales through effective floor supervision.

Associate Development:

Ensures team members are well-trained in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service operations.

Provides constructive feedback to Sales Associates.

Collaborates with Sales Associates to foster the development of the sales team.

Operational Excellence:

Manages payroll effectively by controlling wage costs, salaries, and allowable hours.

Safeguards company assets, including key control, loss prevention measures, inventory documentation, and adherence to the employee handbook.

Aims for 100% accuracy and compliance in cash handling, inventory management, fixtures, and property.

Store Standards:

Assists in executing floor sets and promotional initiatives.

Works collaboratively to ensure all store standards are upheld.

Understands, supports, and adheres to all company policies and procedures.

Manages all company assets (including payroll hours, fixtures, cash, inventory, and property) and ensures all documentation is completed accurately and promptly.

Merchandising and Visual Presentation:

Ensures the implementation of effective merchandising strategies and directives.

Maintains a neat, clean, and organized selling floor that reflects the appropriate visual image at all times.

Ensures all displays, fixtures, and visual areas align with current visual directives.

Identifies and communicates product concerns promptly.

Communicates inventory needs to support business objectives.

Provides timely feedback regarding visual direction in collaboration with the Retail Director.

Fashion and Styling:

Embodies the fashion and style ethos of Veronica Beard.

Possesses knowledge of current fashion trends and styles.

Demonstrates an appreciation for a cohesive fashion look.

Understands fashion-forward styling techniques.

Comfortable being on camera for promotional purposes.

Miscellaneous:

Adheres to company guidelines regarding dependability, including attendance and requirements.

Participates in Store Meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management, particularly in women's apparel or a related field.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Strong verbal and communication skills.

Excellent observational skills to assess customer and employee behavior, reactions, and overall floor awareness.

Ability to retain and utilize data effectively, including names, merchandise, information, policies, and procedures.

Creates a positive working environment that encourages team development and excellence.

Fosters a workplace culture of trust, respect, professionalism, and teamwork to achieve collective goals.
