Primary Responsibilities:
- Confirm insurance coverage and eligibility for patients needing post-operative wound care services.
- Gather and document patient information, including insurance specifics and medical history.
- Engage with insurance providers to verify coverage and secure authorization for medical procedures.
- Work alongside healthcare professionals to compile necessary documentation for insurance claims.
- Accurately and promptly submit insurance claims.
- Monitor insurance claims and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Provide outstanding customer service to both patients and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical insurance verification or billing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to excel in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
