We are looking for candidates who will have completed their **Freshman** year before starting this internship to join our esteemed Systems Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with seasoned engineers and senior technical staff.
As part of BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, you will have the opportunity to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within our organization. This program offers valuable experiences working on impactful projects, engaging in professional development, and networking with industry leaders and fellow interns.
This internship will be conducted on-site at one of our facilities in southern New Hampshire. It is a paid position with a flexible work schedule that includes every other Friday off.
Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in:
- Designing, developing, and testing solutions using Agile methodologies and established systems engineering principles.
- Utilizing recognized systems engineering tools and assisting in various engineering tasks, including integration testing, algorithm analysis, software troubleshooting, and documentation preparation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, including hardware and software disciplines.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this internship, candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, and have completed their Freshman year.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Be eligible for a US Department of Defense security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A security clearance (secret or higher).
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Compensation
The salary for this full-time internship is competitive, with a range based on market pay structures. Individual salaries will be determined by various factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, and candidate qualifications.
While temporary employees are generally not eligible for benefits, they may participate in the 401(k) savings plan and, if working 20 hours per week, may qualify for medical benefits and other support programs.
