Product Development Engineer Intern

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Development Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Product Development Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to apply your existing skill sets to solve engineering design and development problems while expanding your current knowledge base.

The position will require working individually, under the mentorship of a Senior Design Department Mentor, and/or with a small team of designers / engineers to execute customer projects. Projects include motorsports, automotive, defense, and commercial industries.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Applying existing CAD experience to solve engineering design and development problems
  • Working on short or long-term projects, including virtual prototype development, design, and development, testing assistance, and engineering analysis
  • Developing technical writing skills for reports and specifications using MS Word and Excel
  • Collaborating with a small team of designers / engineers to execute customer projects

Desired qualifications include:

  • BS or MS candidate in Materials Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering
  • Experience with parametric 3D modeling and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Proficiency in ProE, Unigraphics, CATIA, Solidworks, IDEAS, Mechanical Desktop
  • Knowledge of Ansys, NASTRAN, Optistruct linear static structural analysis
