Commercial Insurance Placement Strategist

**About the Role**
This Commercial Insurance Placement Strategist position plays a crucial role in coordinating placement activities for new and existing clients within our Top 100 insurance brokerage's transportation division. As a key member of our team, you will facilitate brokering strategies, create capacity for sales and service teams, and consult with client service and sales teams on critical account renewals and new business initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist sales and service teams with the new business sales process, qualifying leads, creating marketing strategies based on risk exposure analysis, and handling underwriting negotiations.
- Evaluate claims data, pricing trends, and coverage enhancements to compose the best possible insurance program for clients.
- Set timelines with sales and service staff to prepare submissions, quote submissions using online rating systems, anticipate negotiations and sales presentations.
- Develop relationships with underwriters and insurance company representatives to gain market insight and competitiveness.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- At least three years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience in risk analysis and marketing.
- Qualified applicants have worked as either a Desk Underwriter, Wholesale Broker, or Placement Specialist with a retail insurance agency.
**Estimated Salary:** $80,000 - $110,000 per year (dependent on location and experience). The salary range is an estimate based on national averages for this position.
