Job Title: Senior Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Emory L. Bennett State Veterans' Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, FL.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with feeding, nourishments, and transportation to meal service areas.
  • Observe, identify, and report resident concerns/needs to supervisor.
  • Escort residents to appointments as required.
  • Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Perform restorative nursing measures as outlined in the care plan.
  • Measure and record vital signs as assigned.
  • Measure and record intake and output according to the care plan.
  • Observe, monitor, and report symptoms of potential skin breakdown and/or pressure ulcers to primary nurse.
Requirements:
  • Current Florida licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process, including a Level II Background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience in a long-term care facility working with a geriatric population.
  • Possess a valid CPR certification.
