Job Title: OPS Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (WW)Job Summary:

The State of Florida is seeking a motivated and dynamic Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Weekend Warrior Program at the Emory L. Bennett State Veterans' Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, FL. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with feeding, nourishments, and transportation to meal service areas.
  • Observe, identify, and report resident concerns/needs to supervisor.
  • Provide escort to resident appointments as required.
  • Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Perform restorative nursing measures as outlined in the care plan.
  • Measure and record vital signs as assigned.
  • Measure and record intake and output according to the care plan.
  • Observe, monitor, and report symptoms of potential skin breakdown and/or pressure ulcers to primary nurse.
Requirements:
  • Current Florida licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Willingness and ability to work a schedule that is inclusive of the evening shift, night shift, or weekends only.
  • Willingness and ability to work at least one shift per pay period unless otherwise approved by the Director of Nursing.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process, to include but not limited to, a Level II Background check, finger printing, and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience in a long-term care facility working with a geriatric population.
  • Possess a valid CPR certification.
