Position Summary:
The Estimator plays a crucial role in the preparation and submission of bids for projects related to the production and supply of steel and concrete pressure piping. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the complete estimating process to effectively bid on projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of estimates, accounting for all specifications and requirements while adhering to industry, regulatory, and contractual standards.
- Collaborate effectively with Sales, Engineering, and Project Coordination teams, engaging project coordination and plant operations management when necessary for bid preparation.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of cost estimates for both standard and specialized products across all projects.
- Maintain current cost information on materials, supplies, and services utilized.
- Assist other departments by conducting cost analyses of alternative designs, procedures, or production methods that impact products in the market.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in estimating proposals for manufactured steel and concrete piping.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Proven ability to produce detailed, final contract estimates.
- Capability to assess site exposures and construction risks, analyzing costs accordingly.

Language Proficiency:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Competence in responding to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
- Skills in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagrammatic forms.

- Adheres to all policies and procedures, completing administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Planning and Organization:
- Utilizes time efficiently and completes administrative duties to support accounting, payroll, and HR functions.
- Collaborates with management on special projects aimed at enhancing safety, quality, and efficiency within the organization.
