Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department. This role involves supervising a team engaged in the setup, installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment, as well as the fabrication of metal components.

The Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for executing supervisory duties in alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct maintenance personnel in the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic upkeep of machinery.
  • Assist team members in diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
  • Oversee the disassembly, assembly, and installation of industrial machinery.
  • Analyze production schedules to estimate labor requirements for mechanical and electrical tasks.
  • Communicate company policies to staff and enforce safety regulations.
  • Interpret specifications and job orders, assigning tasks accordingly.
  • Adjust work procedures to meet production timelines.
  • Propose enhancements to production methods and equipment performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve working conditions and equipment usage.
  • Resolve work-related issues and support team members in problem-solving.
  • Contribute to the maintenance budget, focusing on emergency and routine maintenance planning.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new capital projects.
  • Occasionally perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, coupled with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret technical documents, and effective communication capabilities to engage with various stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.

Physical Requirements

The role demands the ability to utilize various hand tools and work in environments with dust and metal particles. Candidates must demonstrate good hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and the ability to communicate effectively in a team setting.

Physical capabilities include the ability to lift weights ranging from 25 to 75 pounds regularly and operate machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
