Job Summary

We are in search of a committed Medical Assistant (MA) to assist in the clinical and administrative functions of our health and wellness center. The MA will collaborate closely with healthcare providers, aiding in patient care, conducting tests, and overseeing clerical responsibilities. This position demands a dedication to superior patient care and the optimization of our center's operations.

Schedule:
Availability is required for the clinic on a specific day each month, with additional PRN hours available at various locations.

Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Conduct patient interviews and measure vital signs
  • Perform clinical tasks under the supervision of providers
  • Administer medications and maintain medical apparatus
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist during patient assessments
  • Ensure the sterilization of instruments and uphold cleanliness

Administrative Duties:

  • Handle administrative responsibilities and manage patient check-ins
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and maintain patient records
  • Oversee compliance reporting and inventory management
  • Follow up with patients and support outreach initiatives

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program
  • Certification or eligibility for certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Basic Life Support and AED certification
  • Proficiency in medical software and record-keeping
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality

Work Environment:

This role is primarily situated in a medical office environment, with daily interactions with patients. Physical requirements include effective communication, mobility, and occasional lifting of office supplies. This is a full-time position with potential for evening and weekend hours based on center schedules.

Travel Requirements:

Minimal domestic travel may be necessary, accounting for less than 20% of overall responsibilities. Flexibility for occasional travel is essential.
