Job SummaryWe are in search of a committed Medical Assistant (MA) to aid in the clinical and administrative functions of our health and wellness center. The MA will collaborate closely with healthcare providers, assisting in patient care, conducting tests, and handling clerical responsibilities. This position demands a dedication to outstanding patient care and the smooth operation of our center.
Schedule:
Availability is required for the clinic on a monthly basis, with additional PRN hours available at various locations.
Clinical Duties:
- Conduct patient interviews and record vital signs
- Perform clinical tasks under the supervision of healthcare providers
- Administer medications and manage medical equipment
- Prepare examination rooms and assist during patient assessments
- Ensure sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness
Administrative Duties:
- Oversee administrative functions and manage patient check-ins
- Handle phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and maintain patient records
- Manage compliance documentation and inventory control
- Engage with patients for follow-ups and outreach initiatives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- Certification or eligibility for certification as a Medical Assistant
- Basic Life Support and AED certification
- Familiarity with medical software and record-keeping
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Capability to prioritize tasks while ensuring confidentiality
Work Environment:
This position is primarily based in a medical office setting, with regular interaction with patients. Physical demands include effective communication, mobility, and occasional lifting of supplies. This is a full-time role with potential for evening and weekend shifts based on operational needs.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal domestic travel may be necessary, comprising less than 20% of overall responsibilities. Flexibility for occasional travel is required.
