Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Helper to support our production team. In this role, you will assist Machine Operators with various production equipment, prioritizing safety and quality. This position offers the opportunity for training and advancement to a Machine Operator role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the safe operation of production machinery to ensure the production of high-quality products through continuous adjustments of gauges that regulate speed, temperature, and pressure.
- Understand and comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure timely production to meet customer demands and operational requirements.
- Engage in product labeling, packing, wrapping, and supply line support for production activities.
- Participate in all necessary quality inspections, testing, and documentation processes.
- Maintain company standards for cleanliness and organization (6S) in work areas and around machinery.
- Assist in performing routine preventative maintenance tasks.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic skills in math, reading, and computer usage.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and apply critical thinking skills.
- Effective team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of college-level courses or trade school is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and other related equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 40 lbs.
- Good eye/hand coordination.
