Financial Director Role

EPIP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to lead the financial management of our nonprofit organizations.

The successful candidate will have at least six years of experience in nonprofit financial management, with a strong background in risk management, corporate finance, and banking relationships. They will be responsible for assisting managed organizations with budgeting, forecasting, and cash management, while minimizing risks.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and professional certification in treasury management, such as CTP designation. They should also have proficiency in accounting software, particularly Microsoft Dynamics GP/SSRS/Management Reporter, and Excel spreadsheets.

We are looking for an individual who can work effectively within a team, communicate complex financial information to non-financial personnel, and manage staff responsible for cash management, deposit, and payment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve disbursements transactions according to board-approved policies.
  • Oversee treasury and risk management projects for managed organizations.
  • Implement best practices for monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Work with financial institutions on investment activities, including analysis and forecasting.
  • Manage public charities' credit health and anticipate borrowing needs.
  • Develop annual budgets and long-term projections for managed organizations.
  • Maintain efficient systems for treasury and risk management.
  • Advise CFO, SD of Finance, and governance on loans, liquidity, and investments.
  • Provide bank account administration and services support.
  • Lead annual insurance renewal process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Professional certification in treasury management (e.g., CTP designation).
  • Familiarity with banking industry rules and regulations.
  • Experience with foreign transactions and currency conversions.
  • Six or more years of relevant nonprofit experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Experience managing staff responsible for cash management.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary Range:$110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
