Your Impact

We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Animal Care Technician to become an integral part of our practice. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong passion for animal welfare and a desire to expand their knowledge in veterinary care.

As a vital member of our clinic, you will ensure outstanding patient care, engage in meaningful interactions with clients, and contribute to a collaborative work environment that involves a diverse range of tasks daily.

Your Role

- Conduct patient admissions, gather medical histories, and review health reminders.
- Assist in patient restraint during examinations and procedures, including nail trimming, blood draws, and basic grooming.
- Facilitate patient discharges and provide at-home care instructions.
- Manage phone reception and maintain client communication.
- Dispense, label, and review medications.
- Handle billing and payment processing.
- Perform laboratory tasks such as operating blood machines, preparing slides, and conducting urinalysis and fecal tests.
- Prepare patients and surgical suites for procedures, manage surgical instruments, and monitor anesthesia and recovery.
- Position and restrain patients for radiographic imaging, ensuring proper technique and equipment use.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces.

Your Experience/Skills

- A Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience with dogs and cats in a veterinary or animal care environment is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive outlook.
- Compassionate approach to animal welfare.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced work environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tasks and protocols.
