Position Overview:
Central Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Animal Care Technician to join our team.

Experience Requirements:
Minimum of one year of experience in animal handling is essential.

Compensation:
Competitive pay ranging from $18 to $22 per hour.

Working Hours:
Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, with Saturday hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Sunday reserved for emergencies only from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

Shift Requirements:
Availability to work 2-3 weekends per month is necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Animal Care Technician, you will be paired with a veterinarian or technician each day and will play a vital role in the following tasks:
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the facility, including cleaning and laundry duties.
  • Assisting with the restraint of animals during examinations and procedures.
  • Supporting diagnostic procedures such as radiographs and ultrasounds.
  • Weighing animals and facilitating client communication.
  • Managing boarding and kennel care, ensuring the well-being of our patients.
  • Providing comfort and care to animals, ensuring they feel welcomed and loved.
  • Taking initiative in identifying tasks and projects to enhance the efficiency of daily operations.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and relaying messages from veterinarians or technicians.
