Position Overview:


We are looking for an Animal Care Technician to become part of our expanding team, dedicated to providing outstanding care to our patients. You will collaborate with skilled Veterinary Assistants, supporting our Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in the daily operations of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Skills:
Safely and compassionately restrain animals

Provide basic care and grooming for animals

Administer medications, injections, and treatments as directed by veterinarians

Accurately record vital signs, gather medical histories, and report any changes in patients' conditions to the Veterinarian

Collect and prepare laboratory samples, including fecal, urine, and cytological specimens

Conduct routine laboratory tests or diagnostic procedures, such as radiographs

Prepare and dispense prescriptions

Assist Veterinarians and credentialed technicians with appointments, patient admissions, surgical preparations, and minor procedures, while proactively setting up for any necessary tests or procedures

Maintain and care for all medical equipment, including laboratory devices, surgical instruments, and anesthesia machines

Ensure cleanliness and organization of all hospital areas

Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient updates and inquiries

Position Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent

Flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays

Basic knowledge of animal handling and care

Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
