About this Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant to join our team at Wells Fargo. As a key member of our Consumer Lending division, you will be responsible for originating mortgage loans, collaborating with branch leadership, and mentoring employees to increase knowledge of mortgage products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Originate mortgage loans and collaborate with branch leadership to achieve sales goals.
  • Mentor and coach employees to increase knowledge of mortgage products and processes.
  • Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to promote mortgage loan products.
  • Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high-quality customer service.
  • Process loan applications and review rates and terms within guidelines.
  • Adhere to policies, underwriting requirements, and compliance regulations.
  • Stay informed of mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of sales experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Expertise in general lending products and overall mortgage industry experience.
  • Experience with retail residential mortgage, purchase fundings over the past 12 months referred primarily from established, local or external sources.
  • Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits in assigned market.
  • Experience with community loan products, including specialized LMI mortgage solutions, lender-paid assistance programs, and 3rd-party assistance programs.
  • FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals.
  • Experience with educating clients on various mortgage purchase programs.
  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring.
  • Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English preferred.
