Key Responsibilities:- Perform moderate and high-complexity testing to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Conduct quality control procedures and instrument checks to maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Notify healthcare providers of critical lab values to facilitate timely patient care.
- Meet current documentation standards and policies to ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping.
- Follow standard precautions at all times to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and correctly to minimize risk and ensure optimal performance.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing methods, products, and instrumentation to remain current and competitive in the field.
- Graduate of an accredited school of medical laboratory technology or a related field.
- Registered in accordance with an approved certifying agency, such as ASCP or AAB.
- Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, medical technology, or a related field is preferred.
