Laboratory Technician III

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician III to join our Biological Materials and Biosynthesis Team at the University of Georgia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in facilitating commercial biomaterial applications and contributing to the success of our research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with fermentation process, including set-up of equipment, production of media, monitoring, and recovery of fermentation products.
- Conduct quality control measures, including cleaning and sterilization of fermentors and culture of fermenting organisms and any contaminants.
- Assist with bacterial synthesis, including culture, molecular characterization, biochemical characterization, and biopolymer expression manipulation of bacterial strains.
- Order and maintain supplies used in the fermentation and bacterial synthesis processes.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in microbiology and applied chemistry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
