The Senior Procurement Program Coordinator will be an integral member of the Platform Procurement team.
This position is accountable for managing the assigned material readiness, execution, and delivery for New Product Introduction (NPI) development builds and ramp readiness for products.
Your focus will be on optimizing NPI material management to enhance supply chain reliability and adaptability by closely collaborating with vendors and Engineering teams to ensure material alignment for new product launches.
What You Will DoResponsibilities
You will contribute to the Platform Procurement team for the assigned material readiness, execution, and delivery for NPI development builds and ramp readiness for products.
You will prioritize effective NPI material management to ensure supply chain reliability and flexibility by working closely with vendors and Engineering teams to align material requirements for new product releases.
Collaborate with vendors, Supply Chain Operations, and Engineering teams to synchronize NPI material build requirements and ensure part delivery dates align with build start dates.
Monitor changes in the Bill of Materials (BOM) throughout NPI phases and conduct change impact analysis with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and schedule impacts as necessary.
Implement solutions to eliminate material shortages affecting build and shipment timelines, which may involve coordination with the NPI management team for creating Advanced Material Purchase (AMP) or premium freight requests.
Deliver clear, impactful, and professional communication at all organizational levels.
Provide written and verbal updates on material status against build targets.
Minimize NPI excess and obsolete (E&O) and other material risks, offering recommendations to leadership and taking ownership to mitigate potential liabilities.
Create and maintain purchase orders.
Review open orders with suppliers to resolve supplier-related inquiries or issues.
Maintain accurate control of purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other related documents for your assigned category components.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, or an advanced degree with equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role with a Supply Chain background (preferably in Computer or Electronic Manufacturing industry).
- Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient communication and interaction skills with vendors in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and various organizational levels.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
