Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at MRINetwork Jobs. As a key member of our sales and engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing world-class automation systems for various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom automation systems for industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, medical equipment, pharmaceutical, and industrial component manufacturers.
  • Prepare control systems designs and drawings using AutoCAD, including power distribution, PLC, main and station panel layouts, console layouts, pneumatics, hydraulics, and instrumentation.
  • Write and document software for automation systems.
  • Review and manage budgets and schedules for projects.
  • Coordinate with the Controls Assembly Department during the build phases of projects to provide efficient and timely solutions to problems.
  • Lead and develop the Controls Design Department through mentorship of Level I and Level II Controls Engineers.
  • Develop preliminary project schedules and participate in the installation phase of projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in controls engineering related to custom automation.
  • At least 3 years of design experience utilizing AutoCAD software.
  • Desired hardware competency in PLC, HMI, communications, variable frequency drives, robotics, linear actuators, servos, and vision systems.
  • Desired software competency in PLC, HMI, communications, robotics, and application development.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position will lead and develop Level I and Level II Controls Engineers in their group or department on a day-to-day basis.
