Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately collect various blood samples utilizing established techniques.
  • Implement systems for the identification, collection, transportation, and disposal of specimens.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Identify and assess potential complications during blood collection procedures.
  • Execute responsibilities with precision and efficiency in dynamic environments.
  • Educate patients on specific testing requirements and proper specimen collection methods.
  • Oversee the proper care and utilization of medical equipment.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing for inpatients and emergency department cases.
  • Adhere to safety protocols concerning hazardous materials and pathogens.
  • Follow established procedures for safe patient interactions and ergonomic practices.
  • Maintain a clean and well-equipped workspace.
  • Meet performance standards for customer service, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to facilitate seamless departmental operations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma; completion of a Phlebotomy training program is preferred.
  • Experience: Required previous experience in phlebotomy and relevant certification.
  • Licensure: A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Special Skills: ASCP certification is preferred.
