About the Role

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are seeking a skilled Mobile Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for registering and collecting specimens from patients in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Specimen Collection and Registration: Collect and process patient specimens, ensuring accurate registration and timely delivery to the laboratory.
  2. Patient Identification and Verification: Properly identify patients using multiple identifiers and verify patient information to ensure accuracy.
  3. Specimen Handling and Processing: Collect specimens in the correct containers, label accurately, and distribute to the appropriate laboratory section.
  4. Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answer phones, and report results to facility or physician's representatives.
  5. Team Collaboration and Flexibility: Participate in competency testing, prepare supply requests, and exhibit flexibility in job responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of hospital lab experience or a phlebotomy license/certification from an accredited school.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid Driver's License from a USA state.
