We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at BHE Renewables, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as developing and implementing effective safety programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety training programs and materials.
- Investigate and report on incidents and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and stay up-to-date on changing regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of safety data, including incident reports, training records, and compliance documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in environmental and safety compliance, with a focus on regulatory affairs and safety management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
- Professional registration or certification in environmental or safety management.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
