**The Role**

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Waste Specialist to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. As an Environmental Waste Specialist, you will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with collecting, segregating, packing, and preparing for shipment of hazardous waste in accordance with our company policies and procedures at our client location in Santa Clara, CA.

**Job Responsibilities**

* Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
* Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications;
* Perform inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;
* Inspect storage area for leaks or spills;
* Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations;
* Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
* Sample and profile new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;
* Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
* Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.

**Skills and Qualifications**

* High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
* Hazardous waste experience preferred;
* Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
