  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the production and delivery of high-quality audiovisual materials, including photography, video content, podcasts, and presentations, aligning with the mission and values of Children's of Alabama.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Services Manager and Lead AV Coordinator to ensure the fulfillment of audiovisual production standards and quality assurance.
  • Provide expert audiovisual consultation for various projects, liaising with departments such as Administration, Information Technology, and Corporate Communications.
  • Manage the operation of the Children's Online Newsroom, which includes creating media content and distributing it to various media outlets.
  • Act as the primary contact for the production of Children's Inside Pediatrics Podcast and the Red Wagon Podcast, overseeing all aspects from recording to editing.
  • Coordinate the intake and management of audiovisual requests, ensuring that all projects meet branding and quality standards while adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
  • Deliver video and photography assets for diverse promotional and educational platforms, including internal and external communications channels.
  • Serve as an on-call audiovisual consultant, providing support for equipment maintenance and upgrades as necessary.
  • Ensure the effective archiving of digital audiovisual assets for easy access and retrieval.
  • Maintain all audiovisual equipment in optimal working condition and recommend upgrades when needed.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in photography and videography to enhance personal skills and the quality of output.
  • Act as a thought leader in audiovisual services, ensuring that all projects align with the quality expectations of Children's of Alabama.
  • Uphold a consistent photography style and standard across all internal and external collaborations.
  • Perform additional duties as required, representing Children's of Alabama in a professional manner that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in audiovisual production is essential.
  • Proven editing skills and strong organizational abilities are required, along with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and video editing software.
  • Work Environment: This position may involve travel and requires the ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
