We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Anesthesiologist to serve as the Division Chief/Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology, overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, advancing the subspecialty through research and education, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology, providing strategic direction and vision for the team
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and other stakeholders to advance the subspecialty through research and education
  • Foster a culture of excellence and innovation, promoting a team-based approach to patient care
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure the effective operation of the Division
Requirements
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology and Cardiac Anesthesiology
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology residency
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Advanced Certification in Echocardiography
  • A track record of original research and publications
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in team leadership and mentorship
