Cardiac Anesthesiology Division Head

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine is seeking a board-certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist to serve as chief of its Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology.
About the OpportunityThis is an exceptional opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled anesthesiologists and contribute to the advancement of cardiac anesthesiology.
Responsibilities- Lead the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology and provide strategic direction
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and other departments to advance research and quality improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement educational programs for residents and fellows
- Oversee the post-operative management of cardiac surgery patients in the CTICU
- Participate in cardiac surgical M&M and contribute to the development of best practices
- Completion of an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology residency
- Board certification in Anesthesiology and Cardiac Anesthesiology
- Training in Critical Care Medicine is desired but not required
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Advanced Certification in Echocardiography
- A track record of original research and publications
- Demonstrated accomplishments in team leadership and mentorship
- Eligible for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level
