POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Registered Dietitian, your expertise in nutrition is vital in crafting personalized dietary plans that ensure optimal nutritional care for our patients.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Food and Nutrition Services

WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or a related discipline
  • Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (current or within 6 months of employment)
  • Ideally 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in analytical skills, computer usage, and effective communication
  • Strong emphasis on customer service and patient care

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Nutritional Assessment: Perform comprehensive nutritional evaluations for all patients, participate in Nutritional Support Service rounds, and monitor patient progress.
  • Dietary Consultation: Provide guidance on formulations, rates, and volumes for tube feeding and TPN patients; educate patients and families on specialized diets and healthy eating practices; develop dietary plans for complex nutritional needs.
  • Patient Care: Design individualized care plans based on clinical data, interviews, diagnoses, and treatment goals; oversee dietetic technicians in patient care activities.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition (Required)

CERTIFICATION:

RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Involves lifting moderate to heavy weights occasionally and frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

$33.66
