Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Specialist to ensure regulatory compliance and support product development at Expedient Staffing Solutions.

This role is responsible for ensuring packaging and labeling meet regulatory standards, supporting product development, managing costing and pricing, and collaborating cross-functionally for successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Verify ingredient statements and nutritional info; ensure USDA compliance.
  • Product Development: Obtain product specs and certifications from suppliers; manage samples; ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Costing and Pricing: Calculate and analyze product costs; optimize recipes for cost and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, production, and QA teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements for compliance and development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in food industry regulatory compliance and product development.
  • Knowledge of USDA guidelines; strong analytical, costing, and pricing skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; proficient in Microsoft Office and regulatory software.
Working Conditions:

Full-time in Newark, NJ; occasional travel to suppliers; collaborative work environment with growth opportunities.
