Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is in search of skilled and committed Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) to enhance the educational experience of students. We have several full-time opportunities available for the upcoming school year.

Position: Full-Time Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sign language interpreting services during classroom sessions and school events.
  • Facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their classmates, educators, and other staff members.
  • Assist students in understanding and engaging in classroom activities.
  • Support the execution of students' individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Keep precise and timely records of services rendered.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum score of 3.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA).
  • Prior experience in educational interpreting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and students.
  • Dedication to upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
