Job Overview

Position: Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students

Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year working with deaf and hard of hearing students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-time commitment
  • Monday to Friday schedule
  • Working with students in grades K-1
  • Managing a classroom of 7 students
  • Proficiency in sign language is required

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Education specializing in Teaching Deaf Students
  • Valid Illinois DHH License
  • Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience with students who have hearing impairments or other disabilities
  • Reliable transportation is necessary
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check

Interview Process:

  • Initial 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Recruiter
  • Follow-up 20-30 minute virtual or in-person interview with the school district
  • Offer typically extended within 24 hours of the interview

Compensation: Weekly payment based on experience and educational background.
