Job Summary

Crawford Murphy & Tilly Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead our aviation development team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and constructing civil and transportation projects focused on aviation development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design tasks and projects, including supervising and directing junior staff
  • Prepare bidding documents, including plans and specifications, for horizontal and vertical layout, site development, grading, drainage, pavement design, marking, signage, erosion control, and coordination with other disciplines
  • Support the client manager in providing service to and developing relationships with existing aviation clients
  • Perform project management and coordination of multi-disciplined tasks necessary to implement projects for clients in our aviation group
  • Assist in business development activities, including prospective client outreach, submittal preparation, and community engagement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree in advanced studies recognized in the evaluation process
  • Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience with demonstrated technical design and construction expertise in transportation, civil site development, and civil infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and/or Wisconsin preferred
  • Previous business development experience and staff development, supervision, and/or management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated skills and working knowledge of AutoCAD for use in civil and site design projects
  • Skill using Civil 3D for site modeling, design, and analysis preferred
  • Interest in experiencing a variety of assignments and willingness to accept periodic out-of-town travel assignments
  • Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license
