Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at Harvard University's Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. The successful candidate will have expertise in designing and controlling robotic systems, particularly those based on fish, as well as analyzing fish locomotor dynamics and caring for live fish in a laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robotic systems to study aquatic locomotion
  • Analyze fish locomotor dynamics, including kinematics and force generation
  • Care and maintain live fish in a laboratory setting
  • Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in designing and controlling robotic systems
  • Knowledge of fish locomotor dynamics and kinematics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
