Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Support Representative to join our team at INDEPENDENCE HEALTH SYSTEM INC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of third-party regulations, contractual adjustments, and facility contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review all inpatient payments to ensure maximum reimbursement for the facility
  • Train new personnel for the Cashier position and complete the billing process for specialty services
  • Prepare the Medicare Quarterly Credit Balance Report and end-of-month statistics
  • Document Blue Cross denials and cover Patient Accounting Operations Representatives, Cashiers, and Insurance Representatives during their absence
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Medical Terminology and Associate Degree in Business or Accounting
  • Minimum: Two years Patient Accounting or Insurance Representative experience with PC skills
