Literacy Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Literacy Program Director to join our team at LaAmistad.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our literacy program, providing professional development to teachers, and implementing research-based assessment approaches to inform instruction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing literacy strategies and implementation plans
  • Provide support to teachers in recognizing and responding to diverse learner needs
  • Research and model best practices in reading and writing instruction
  • Collaborate with Academic Director and teachers to develop assessment tools
  • Implement program-wide literacy initiatives

In addition to these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be able to effectively communicate with staff and students, and have a passion for promoting literacy among diverse learners.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Education preferred
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience
  • Possess or qualify for a Georgia License

This is a full-time position that requires occasional travel to our campuses. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
