About the Role

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to fill the position of Afterschool Site Director at our J.M. Tull Gwinnett Family YMCA location.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the afterschool program, ensuring compliance with YMCA and Bright from the Start regulations, and providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging activities and instruction to support program goals and promote student success.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure adherence to regulations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise staff and communicate concerns to the Program Director.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and compile pertinent information required by the program.
  • Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director and implement efficient inventory management practices.
  • Attend scheduled training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as BFTS, YMCA, and COVID safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Hold a minimum credential that meets BFTS Site Directors requirements.
  • Prior experience working with school-age children in a group setting is essential, with a licensed setting and supervision of staff in a school-age setting being a significant advantage.
  • Current evidence of successful completion of biennial training in CPR/First Aid is mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with staff, students, and parents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as internet technology platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom, is expected.
  • Ability to pass a Fingerprint check through Bright from the Start before commencing work.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive compensation package, including a competitive salary of approximately $40,000 - $50,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
