HVAC Smart Buildings Account Executive

As a key member of the Johnson Controls team, you will play a vital role in driving the sales of our Building Efficiency (BE) offerings to mechanical contractors, designers, and consulting engineers. Your primary objective will be to promote the Johnson Controls value proposition to the construction community by providing business and technical solutions. You will be responsible for building customer relationships and partnerships with assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and positioning renewable service agreements as a foundation of managed account relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Sell Johnson Controls BE offerings persuasively, persistently, and confidently to all members of the construction community, including contractors, consultants, and designers, while reaching optimal profit levels.
- Manage multiple, ongoing opportunities, including selling, renewing, and expanding renewable service agreements, including multi-year agreements, to both new and existing assigned customers.
- Build partnering relationships with the owner construction community responsible for the decision-making process to drive the sale of Johnson Controls offerings.
- Actively listen, probe, and identify concerns, understanding the customer's business cycle and customer base, and demonstrating technical and business expertise and maintaining a high level of credibility.
- Seek out, target, and initiate contact with multiple prospective customers in alignment with JCI strategy, developing and maintaining a network of industry contacts, and understanding and leveraging the sales process outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of successful field sales experience.
- At least four (4) years successfully selling HVAC or building automation system industry.
- Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business, excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels.
