Job Summary

The Department of the Army is seeking a highly skilled Attorney-Advisor (General) to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide expert legal advice and guidance to Army litigation attorneys and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on eDiscovery requirements and issues to Army litigation attorneys and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the implementation of eDiscovery policies and practices within the Department of the Army.
  • Develop and implement a strategic training plan for the agency to enhance eDiscovery and document management practices.
  • Create eDiscovery training and materials for attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Provide advice on legal and policy questions related to eDiscovery and make recommendations on proposed rules, policy, legislation, and regulations.
Requirements
  • First professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) and active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • 2 years of professional legal experience, acquired after being admitted to the bar, commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Graduation from an ABA-Accredited Law School in the top 25% of the class or an advanced law degree such as an LLM may substitute for one year of the required professional legal experience.
