Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in nuclear construction management to provide expert guidance and oversight in various operational aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Evaluate Non-conformance Reports (NCRs), Field Change Requests (FCRs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) to assess their completeness and appropriateness.
- Offer strategic advice to Federal Project Directors (FPDs) regarding the planning, management, and execution of construction activities within nuclear facilities.
- Assess work and design packages for cost-effectiveness and provide informed recommendations to the Government.
- Facilitate the resolution of technical challenges among facility operators, project teams, and relevant authorities.
- Support the Government in overseeing construction activities, ensuring adherence to work control processes and safety protocols.
- Engage in oversight activities related to the testing, commissioning, and operational transition of mechanical and glove box systems.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in nuclear construction.
- Experience at a NNSA or DOE nuclear site is preferred.
- Possession of a current DOE Q Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
