Construction Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Construction Engineer 3 is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the technical aspects of construction and maintenance projects are executed in full conformance with approved project documents. This involves monitoring facility maintenance and construction activities, providing input during scoping, design, execution, and project closeout, and expediting project execution by identifying issues, coordinating technical solutions, and providing timely guidance to the constructor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor facility maintenance and construction activities to ensure compliance with approved project documents.
- Provide input during scoping, design, execution, and project closeout to ensure baseline documents are accurate, design documents are adhered to, and as-built configurations are verified.
- Expedite project execution by identifying issues, coordinating technical solutions, and providing timely guidance to the constructor.
- Collaborate with design engineers and the constructor to resolve facility and infrastructure engineering issues in the field.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance construction operations.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and engineering technologists.
- Review engineering submittals and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry, regulatory, and Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration codes, standards, and criteria pertinent to construction disciplines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- 6 years of practical work experience or 14 years of industry experience.
- Current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desirable.
Desired Qualifications:
- Expert organizational skills for field engineering oversight and statusing of multiple simultaneous construction projects.
- Experience leading others in the execution of their duties.
- Experience working independently on tasks ranging in complexity.
- Proven experience mentoring junior Field Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
- Proficiency in reviewing engineering submittals and ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Advanced design and/or construction experience in nuclear, accelerator, laboratory, or industrial facility operations.
