Job Title: Senior Vice President of Information Technology

Vaco is seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President (SVP) of Information Technology to spearhead the technology strategy for a dynamic and growing organization. The SVP of IT will oversee the strategic direction and daily operations of IT, ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technology Leadership: Oversee the strategic direction and daily operations of IT, ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with company goals.
  • Data Strategy Implementation: Execute on a comprehensive data strategy to enhance business intelligence, reporting, and analytics capabilities, supporting operational reporting metrics to drive performance.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Manage the deployment of cybersecurity tools and processes to strengthen security and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Rationalize a multi-year budget and manage relationships with external service providers to optimize costs while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Change Management: Lead the IT function through periods of rapid growth and transformation, focusing on operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and manage a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
  • Operational Analysis: Analyze complex operational challenges to identify root causes and develop effective solutions, including addressing inefficiencies in reporting and operational processes.
  • Private Equity Engagement: Leverage understanding of corporate value creation and equity events to drive initiatives that align with private equity-backed organizations' objectives.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Engage in discussions to clarify operational issues and maintain a proactive approach to enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Extensive IT Leadership Experience: 10-15 years in IT leadership across various domains, including infrastructure, data management, SaaS platforms, service delivery, security, and analytics.
  • Driving Technology Initiatives: Proven success in leading large-scale technology initiatives within high-growth, multi-location environments, particularly in retail and service sectors.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing multi-year technology budgets and optimizing capital expenditures for corporate valuation.
  • Private Equity Experience: Background in private equity-backed organizations with a strong understanding of corporate value creation and equity events.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working within industries with multiple locations, including retail and service sectors, ensuring operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess complex operational challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions, including addressing reporting inefficiencies.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent questioning and communication skills to facilitate in-depth discussions and drive insights.
  • Vendor Management: Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple outsourced vendors and service providers.
  • IT Strategy Alignment: Experience in aligning IT strategy with business objectives and supporting corporate valuation efforts.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with enterprise technology platforms, such as MS Azure, Dynamics 365, and advanced data analytics tools.
  • Project Management Expertise: Strong program and project management skills in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.

Salary Transparency & Additional Information for Denver Applicants: In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, Denver job applicants are entitled to specific compensation information during the hiring process. We are committed to transparency and provide a target annual base salary range of $225,000 - $240,000, plus potential bonuses and equity based on individual qualifications and performance.
