Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to join our team at Floor & Decor Holdings, Inc. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of associates to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Engage customers, provide a quality shopping experience, and ensure store associates deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Merchandising and Store Presentation: Strategically merchandize products, maintain store presentation standards, and guarantee safety and security of customers and employees.
  • Administrative Tasks: Conduct weekly competitive shops, communicate pricing and inventory issues, analyze business reports, and utilize computer and point of sale systems to manage inventory and profit and loss.
  • Supervisory Duties: Ensure maximum scheduling coverage, review and assess associate performance, train and develop associates, and address unsatisfactory performance and policy violations.
  • Store Operations: Assist with handling store-level human resources or loss prevention issues, and be available to open and/or close the store effectively.
Requirements
  • Three to five years of retail management experience and proven ability to direct operations.
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume, highly complex location.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase the company's overall market share.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel objects. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
