Job Title: Nuclear Propulsion Division Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Propulsion Division Engineer to join our team in Newport News, VA. As a key member of our Maritime Operations group, you will provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks, including gathering, maintaining, and formatting technical data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
  • Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and flow charts.
  • Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas.
  • Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or other 2-year technical degree in a related discipline and 3 years' experience.
  • Or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years related (DoD/USN) experience.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering bachelor's degree.
  • Shipyard nuclear propulsion and/or work controls experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job.
