Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting & Finance Lead to oversee the daily financial operations of the Shared Services Center (SSC). This role involves ensuring precise and timely financial reporting, maintaining robust control processes, and collaborating closely with the SSC Managing Director to formulate budgets and forecasts.

The ideal candidate will be a dependable source of expertise, equipped with a calm demeanor to effectively navigate daily challenges and inquiries.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee accurate and timely reporting of the SSC's month-end Profit & Loss and balance sheet in alignment with IFRS and WPP reporting standards.
  • Oversee the SSC's daily transactional accounting processes.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance summaries.
  • Manage all aspects of the SSC's balance sheet, ensuring monthly reconciliations of all accounts.
  • Implement cost control measures within the SSC, identifying potential areas for cost reduction.
  • Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, adhering to WPP's internal control framework and policy guidelines.
  • Generate KPI reports for both local and international management.
  • Facilitate billing for WPP operating companies for services rendered by the SSC.
  • Collaborate with the SSC Managing Director to prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Manage local tax reporting obligations.
  • Support and mentor junior team members to enhance their knowledge and experience.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting as requested by local or international management.

Qualifications:
  • Part qualified accountant or equivalent (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
  • Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Familiarity with IFRS reporting standards.
  • Ability to interpret, manipulate, and present data logically.
  • Self-motivated with effective prioritization skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
