Position Overview:

As a Senior Accountant within the Real Estate Finance sector, you will be an integral part of our financial team, collaborating closely with our CFO and senior management. This role encompasses the oversight of general accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions. Key responsibilities include account reconciliation, maintaining the general ledger, and executing month-end closing processes. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding the company's financial health and facilitating ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise all general accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
  • Review and enforce the application of internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of financial statements on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Lead the budgeting process, guiding the financial team through planning and execution.
  • Analyze financial performance, focusing on profitability, trends, and budget adherence, providing insights to senior management.
  • Offer strategic recommendations regarding capital financing to support business expansion.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
  • Develop and uphold accounting policies and systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role, particularly in the real estate or mortgage sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate accounting practices and relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience in the financial sector, potentially in roles such as financial analyst.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management.
  • Proficient in business software and personal computing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with less experienced accountants and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Analytical capabilities for assessing costs and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
