Recreation Activities Coordinator
The Recreation Activities Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing and enhancing all guest engagement activities and associated facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, the activities center, cinema, fitness areas, swimming pools, cabanas, banquet spaces, tanning facilities, and beach areas. The Coordinator will lead, support, and inspire a team during their shifts while also stepping into various roles as necessary. Collaborating closely with management, the Coordinator aims to optimize guest and associate satisfaction, boost revenue, and enrich resort activities.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Oversee the Activities Department of the resort. Inspire, guide, and develop team members while enforcing company policies and standards. Provide constructive feedback and support to staff as needed. Manage departmental operations and fill in across various areas when required. (50% of time)
2. Ensure Compliance. Conduct thorough inspections of all facilities and equipment to maintain optimal conditions. Coordinate necessary maintenance and repairs. Prepare and maintain departmental documentation as per company standards. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures as outlined. (20% of time)
3. Collaborate with Management in designing, planning, and executing guest activities for the resort. Create promotional materials to support Resort Activities. Assist in determining pricing for activities. Work with department staff and related departments to enhance Guest Satisfaction Scores and achieve minimum goals. (20% of time)
4. Participate in all resort and company training sessions and meetings. Complete mandatory training in accordance with company standards. (5% of time)
5. Perform additional duties as required. (5% of time)

Qualifications and Requirements
a) Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
b) Training requirements

• Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid Certification, Alcohol Awareness Card, Food Server Health Card, Valid Driver's License (varies by location).
c) Knowledge and skills

• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

• Capacity to exercise sound judgment when interacting with guests and team members.

• Proficient in organizing and facilitating group activities.

• Contribute to the development of concepts and techniques, completing tasks creatively and effectively.

• Foster a positive work environment by upholding the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and safety in line with regulatory standards and company values.

• Flexibility to work adjusted schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational demands.
d) Technical Skills

• Ability to operate large vehicles, shuttles, and/or vans.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Micros is essential.

• Capability to learn new software for reporting and timekeeping.
e) Job experience

• Minimum of 2 years in customer service, recreation, and administration/leadership roles.

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
