Recreation Lead Job Description

Kampgrounds of America, Inc. is seeking a Recreation Lead to join our team. As a Recreation Lead, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing recreation activities at our campgrounds, including arts and crafts, games, sports, dramatics, music, social activities, hobbies, and themed weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise all preparations for events from start to finish.
  • Create and execute a detailed events calendar that supports the campground and guests of all age ranges.
  • Develop and maintain a budget for recreation activities.
  • Manage recreation equipment and facilities, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting new arrivals and explaining rules and activities.
  • Enforce safety rules and administer basic first aid when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to create engaging social media posts.
  • Confer with management to discuss and resolve participant complaints.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong decision-making ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive hourly rate between $15.50 and $16.50.
  • A seasonal employment opportunity from April 30, 2025, to October 23, 2025.
