About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Surplus Lines division. This is an excellent opportunity to join the division prior to its official launch at the end of 2024.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and analyze complex risk information to determine individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions.
  • Research and develop new classes of business, assess market viability, and suggest form wording on endorsements and exclusions.
  • Review individual risks submitted by assigned agents to determine acceptability within company guidelines.
  • Analyze exposures to loss, develop adequate premium charges, and determine endorsements and exclusions to address loss exposures for the insurance contract.
  • Achieve team/individual production and loss ratio goals with assigned agents/brokers through sound book management and marketing.
  • Oversee or handle policy maintenance items, conduct midterm policy audits, and travel to agent offices as required.
