Job Title: Insurance Analyst/Sr Insurance Analyst

BHE GT&S is seeking an experienced Insurance Analyst/Sr Insurance Analyst to join our team. As an Insurance Analyst/Sr Insurance Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing insurance data, identifying trends and risks, and developing recommendations to mitigate those risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze policy renewal reports from insurance vendors and prepare renewal recommendations for approval.
  • Assemble and organize underwriting data requests, complete insurance applications, and create underwriter submissions for insurance renewals.
  • Ensure approved coverages are placed and develop, prepare, and analyze insurance data, risk data, and financial reports for senior management, department managers, brokers, and state agencies.
  • Process premium invoices and ensure accurate data is provided for tax purposes.
  • Develop, analyze, maintain, track, and report information, and compile, summarize, and develop trend data from internal and external resources.
  • Draw conclusions from analyses for insurance purposes and in response to internal or external data requests, conduct ad-hoc studies and quantitative analyses, and review contracts and evidence of insurance from third-parties and determine compliance with company standards and contractual requirements.
  • Recommend solutions to management and influence decisions, and perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Requirements:
  • Insurance Analyst: 3+ years related experience.
  • Sr Insurance Analyst: 5 years related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance, surety, risk transfer, and loss prevention standards, techniques, and philosophies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, logical reasoning, priority setting, and goal development skills.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and present complex information.
  • Excellent personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of company's businesses and risk exposures.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related area.
  • Preferred Licenses, Certifications, Qualifications or Standards: Associate in Risk Management Certification or active Property & Casualty insurance license preferred.
